Why I Decided To Become a Real Estate Broker

Why I decided to become a real estate broker.

Why I decide to become a real estate broker

For a number of years my wife and, I have work as a team with her doing the real estate loans and myself do the listing and selling of real estate (homes, condominiums, townhouses, units and commercial properties and businesses).

My wife, Diana, has her California real estate broker’s license and I have a real estate agent license.

With over 40 years in the business of selling real estate, I found no need to get my real estate broker license.

As a real estate agent, even with the number of years of experience, some property owner, still don’t see me in the same light as a real estate broker, so I have taken the exam and, in a few days or so I will be a California real estate broker.

Now, you my ask what the differences between a real estate broker and a real estate agent?

Yes, there is a difference between real estate agents and real estate brokers.

A real estate agent work under a broker, or brokerage, and are qualified to list homes for sale and help buyers find a home or properties they want to purchase.

A real estate broker is someone who has taken additional courses, passed an advanced real estate exam.

They are legally allowed to start their own brokerage and manage the activities of any agents who may work under them.

As my wife, Diana, is a California real estate  broker, she has always had a right to start a real estate business, and she was the broker on record for several years for Century 21 Diamond in Diamond Bar.

So was no real reason for me to get my real estate broker license.

The question that many property owners may ask, is it better to list with an experience real estate agent or a new real estate broker?

It really depends on your specific situation.

If you are looking for a more experienced agent who is familiar with the local market and has a proven track record of success, then an experienced real estate agent may be the best option for you.

However, if you are looking for someone with fresh ideas and lots of enthusiasm, then a new real estate broker could be the right fit.

Ultimately, the choice is up to you.
